If the seller puts a value of less than £135 on the Customs form, then I doubt very much if you will be charged VAT or Import Tax. However, this might be an issue if the value is more, the package goes missing and insurance needs to be claimed on!

Thanks for that info. It’s a minefield isn’t it. Nothing is simple. Courier charges too. Just when I thought I had made a decision…..

Why can’t someone in the uk have the parts I need!
I love taking stuff to bits - putting back together is another thing altogether.
