What's it worth? 1971 DT250 was created by 5gear

2 owner 1971 DT250
Has 2500 miles, supposedly has original tires and grips. Comes with: original tool kit, owner's manual in the white pouch, two original keys, warranty card, the original purchase and sale agreement, a copy of the original title, and current street legal MA title. Starts/runs/rides as it should and currently has turn signals on it.
The only drawback is the original tank rusted and was replaced with a 72 tank.

It is worth what someone is willing to pay. Maybe $1500. I have seen many listed and the prices vary widely. Location is also important, ones advertised in remote areas bring in less $.

I have a tank for one of these. It has been
cleaned and sealed with red coat sealer.
Nice straight tank that needs paint.

It’s difficult to ascertain the amount deducted for the incorrect fuel tank. A decent tank costs $250.00, $80.00 for badges, $1000.00 labor to have a tank professionally painted plus a lot for the paint itself. Your best option is to do all corrections previous of listing.

I have one
every ride gives me perma-grin and I tell myself this one is my favorite
I paid $1400 for mine and it was rougher and took a few more Franklins to get it really nice and reliable
then the tank leaked again so I popped $350 for a correct badge tank but sold the leaker for $125
Still searching for correct turn signals...they are not cheap either
IMO not enough market volume to establish a price range like a honda accord, so I think you got to decide what you like, how long and how much to get to the fun and then just do it.
I would rather lose my benz than my DT1E
