CT1s on the Plain was created by Pete-RT1

Had a fun ride out around the Byways of Salisbury Plain today.
Was a bit wet leaving mine with the bikes in my van, but was dry when we got there.
Such a great place, will be visiting again as we only scratched the surface today.
It's used by the military and we saw plenty of tanks and had to "about turn" when I looked up and saw three military vehicles and a load of troops on maneuvers ahead of us.
Couldn't miss out seeing one of Gr8uncleal's early building projects also know as Stonehenge.
The bikes were perfect for the Byways and felt right at home.
A good day out.

Glad you missed the rain Pete!

For a few years, in the late '70s and very early '80s, I went to Stonehenge for the free festival at summer solstice time.

Thanks Alan, we got lucky.
I'll give you more of a heads-up before my next visit and maybe catch-up.
We met three senior riders on modern bikes and tagged along with (I followed them) until they stopped and had a chat, then we traveled together to Stonehenge.
They were very interested in my bikes and the one chap has a TS185 he's fixing up.
They were surprised I would ride my CT1C on the trails given how tidy it looks.
I did rag-it at times and it's such a great little bike once you get those revs up and really easy to flick around.

Looks great fun,

I get the same with my '71 CT1, people can't believe I take it off road and down the green lanes.

I think the constant use and maintenance is good for them! Plus I have a shed, not a museum.
