REAR TURN SIGNALS FOR 1969 DT-1 was created by 9gingers

Does anyone have a picture of the original rear turn signals that fit on a 1969/1970 DT-1? Thanks

Yes, wasn't 1971 the first year they came with signals?

(US law said that motorcycles manufactured after 1-1-73 are required to have signals but they came on the Yamaha as standard a couple of years earlier)

My 71 DT1 which I bought new came with turn signals, but I never put them on the bike.

The 69 DT-1 has mounts for rear turn signals however they are different than the 70 DT1/RT1's as they bolt directly to the bracket vs the 70's(and later) having a provision for a rubber grommet to dampen the vibrations....

If indicators were fitted on any 1969 models, it might have been the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) models only.

There are, I think, promotional video clips and brochures of these JDM bikes on the forum somewhere.

If no rubber mounts, then the indicators will earth directly to frame, so no earth cords required.

On the JDM bikes, my recollection is that the front indicators mounted on the fork ears/headlight bowl, not the handlebars.
