Ct-1 ignition coil was created by YONK
Need some help in identifying this ignition coil I found on eBay. Seller identified it as a ct-3 coil. According to the pictures I see on the parts fishe it looks more like a ct-1 coil to my untrained eye. Am looking for a ct-1 coil and hoping this one will work but don't want to buy it without being sure. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

If it mounts on it'll be good. Single wire so is an AC magneto coil. If you have no spark it won't be 'that' coil--in my opinion. Has to be earthed & motor tight in the frame to be well earthed. Bolted to the frame earths it as it earths via the mounting bolts.

That looks very much like my CT1 coil and nothing like the coil in the CT3 parts diagram.
It's better to remain silent and be considered a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Thanks for your thoughts. I bought this bike to restore. Was not running when purchased. There are a lot of parts that were installed on it from other bikes to make it look complete but not functional by seller. Am trying to restore to original and wasn't sure if this coil would work or not. Thinking it is probably ok to use.
