Clock bodies Chroming UK was created by Pete-RT1
The ones on my CT1-C aren't that bad, but I'd like to get an idea of cost so I can decide whether to get them done.
I took the tacho apart yesterday as it was jumping some of the time with the engine revving.
I was surprised how easy it was to un-crimp and then re-assemble, I had read how to do it here before I started.
The face looked faded but actually cleaned up really well and I kind of like have a silver-line instead of a red-line.
I forgot to take a "before photo" before I'd taken it a part and cleaned part of the face.
Any recommendations for chrome platters appreciated.

Also if you punt around on eBay you may find new faces ( repos) with stronger colours.... depends on what level you are going to of course..

I like my monochrome tacho face, I was just looking to have the chrome done.

Can you post where you found the thread for disassembly and reassembly of gauges?

I used a pair of grips with one of the jaws protected for crimping the bevel back over, but there's plenty of clever methods in the thread.

So I’ve used Fox Plating SE26 5TW
I also have recently discovered a more local Chromers in Kent Colmor Finishers ... proper old school ...
