Congratulations Dirtboy . . . . In regards to your looking for a DT1S front fender (above quote)

You don't realize it, but you already have the front fender for your DT1S model . . . bottom center of the picture above!

Some people think it originally came with a high front fender because of the cover photo on the owners manual, and possibly other factory prototype drawings and pictures, but the actual model was released with the standard low mount fender that all the other year DT1's had.

The official Yamaha DT1S parts manual also backs this up.

The owners manual does however, list the high front fender as well as some other related GYT parts as an over the counter option the owner can purchase and install for racing purposes.

Very interesting! But I'm a little confused... The cover photo on the rider's manual on the right and the photo below that look like they show a "low fender" simply mounted high. The errata says that the front fender is "connected with the front forks by bolts". If the high fender doesn't bolt to the triple tree how does it attach to the forks?

this is a high mounted aluminum aftermarket fender on a dt1F, would it work/would you be interested?
