Busy few weeks with work so progress has been slow, also the bike continues to fight being dragged back to working order.
Main axle bearing looks to have spun in the casing so needed some bearing retainer to hold that in situ, in my youth I'd have repeatedly centre popped the casing on the bore, but fortunately we have better modern solutions now.
Shift shaft cam adjuster screw has been bent and the lock washer was missing, so straightened the screw and made a lock washer from a penny washer.
Any hoot, managed to get the cases together, I always feel I need one extra hand when dropping the gearbox and selector back in whilst holding it all together, but a bit of wiggling and a few muttered expletives of encouragement and it was in.
New friction and steels for the clutch, springs are in spec.
Put the flywheel on to give myself a second timing mark as the stator was elsewhere, I'll compare the factory tab position once I have it all together.
I haven't been very organised with this build and have a few bits I'd like to get zinc plated (head bolts, foot pegs and a few other fasteners) but haven't managed to get to the platers yet, so that will slow things a bit.
I can rebuild and fit the oil pump in the meantime.
I also need to sort The Greenie as Agop and I have another adventure coming up soon

Nearly there.
Again, I've been busy with work and golf, so 007 has had to wait.
My friend who lives in Chester NY came over for a visit and brought with her the oil tank decal, gear shift and tank strap.
Hopefully one last order from Yambits (I forgot the exhaust gasket) and I'll get it running this week.
I have been very disorganised with this build, but despite making it hard on myself I think the bike is looking pretty good.
Another reason it's taken a bit longer than some of my other projects is I have quite a few other bikes to ride and Agop is always up for a trail or two as can be seen in the last photo

"Curious, where are you riding? That pic reminds me I need to go ride!"
Paul, there are quite a few Byways dotted around the UK, we stumbled across this one on our ride to Loomis Motorcycle Cafe, it turned into a 100+ mile ride through the countryside and a couple of short trails.
For me riding to a destination with no particular route set out and exploring new roads and trails is a joy.
Bernie (Agop) and I have usually had our annual bike camping trip by now, but haven't quite managed it yet.
I'm sure one of us will post our exploits in the next couple of months.

Cheers Morley.
Well today was the day, 21 kicks and it was alive, for a few seconds at least.
I need to tinker a little to get it running right.
I did manage a couple of runs up and down my road.
The one kick video attached is after I had ridden the bike and it was warmed up, a lesser man might have been tempted to pretend it was a first kick wonder

.
Certainly sounds nice with the fresh bore.
We've got a runner!!
