Very happy I snuck in before the R&R. Looking forward to receive it back. The amount of passion and work you put into these is clear. Happy to support these type of efforts and of course the finished product looks great. Very fortunate to have someone doing custom work like this to be proud of. Can't wait to let it eat :)

Enjoy the break Dave!

Hi Dave G,

We take a stock pipe....in your case a DT2 pipe. We cut it open and install a cone internally to make the pipe work as an expansion chamber. We then weld it back together, So the pipe looks stock but performs much better. We also retain the spark arrestor so your good to ride anywhere. Thus the name Sleeper Pipe.

Overseas customers will buy a pipe on Ebay in the states and have it shipped directly to us and we then do the mod and ship it out to you. It saves a bunch on shipping costs.

I hope this answers your question ?

Let me know if you want one ?

Just out of interest, would removal of a spark arrestor (SA) affect performance either way?

Here in the UK it would be unlikely (although not impossible) for us to encounter riding circumstances that would require a SA. It's only since being a member of this US based forum that I have come across the SA and I don't recall them being a requirement or fitment on UK bikes - as always, happy to be corrected though!

Many thanks.

The Sleeper cone is optimized to be used with a stock pipe....so removing the spark arrestor would reduce performance and make the pipe quite a bit louder.

We have built some DT/RT Sleeper Pipes without the spark arrestor turbine assembly and
they are loud and make less low end midrange power.

So not optimal....
