Spend first, then ask questions? (:

I like to say it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
About 25-30 years ago when I was a mobile heavy equipment mechanic I had been eyeing a large Snap On box that was $5000.00 I bought it and had it in my service vehicle and of the course of the next week had been hinting to the wife I needed a bigger tool box for my back room home work shed, after wearing her down she said well if you need it and it will make your job easier go ahead and tell the Snap on guy you will buy it, I said great now can you come outside and help me unload it. She had that look on her face after I told her I had already bought it a couple days prior. My most recent enduro purchase was in the garage for 2 days till the wife noticed and she only found out because my granddaughter said grandpa got a new vroom vroom

Today I feel very fortunate/blessed to report that I was able to pick up that CT1. Got it from a real nice couple...was actually her bike.

I rode the bike home in the rain! Was only a block away though.

I pulled the carb, reset floats to 25.5mm and cleaned via ultrasonic. Was stalling a bit under light throttle on way home. First bike I ever bought that within an hour was running excellent. Looks like its going to need the correct headlight as this one is clocked wrong and a battery. Some general clean-up and thats about it. Not sure if I want to fix the paint or leave as is.

Rode it today to check things over. It runs smoothly and accelerates well through all gears, all throttle positions. Its a really good riding bike.

To do list: bring it to the CHP for a "verification" of street use.
