Bassani exhaust pipe was created by Dennis D

Anyone running a Bassani pipe on their 71-73 CT that could send me a picture of the mounting?

I don't have any photos of the one that was fitted to my own 1971 CT1C when I bought the bike, bit it was mounted to the top shock absorber bolt.

If you have a 1972 (CT2) or 1973 (CT3) bike, I think you'll need the special CT1 top shock absorber bolt to enable you to fit it.

Edit - the special bolt is the longer of the one shown in the photos in this link (I sold the parts a while back).

This isn’t a CT, but it is a Bassani mounted on my DT125B. If you zoom in you will see that I had to buy a universal muffler bracket to fit the outlet diameter. Then I used a Yamaha rubber insulated exhaust hanger that I had in my spare parts bin.

Thanks for the pic. Header on the pipe I have is quite a bit different.
I may have to fab something up to make it fit. Understand about the
bolt as I am going to put one on a 71 CT and another on a 73 CT. Does
that exhaust on your bike set lower that the stock pipe did? Hard to tell
from the angle.

Yes it does sit lower. I actually made up a filler panel to block off the view between the top of the pipe and the bottom of the seat because you could see into the void under the seat and I just didn’t like it.

oops. Wrong link first time.

LOL! Someone who is as anal as I am it seems.
I think I might use the header off of a Yamaha pipe
that I have and get it to sit where I want it to. This
pipe supposedly came off of a AT3, but it crashes
into everything. I am going to run it and keep my
rear turn signals!
