Hi all,

I am permanently into collecting old Yamaha enduros since all three 2023 KTM 500's have failed me (mechanically). Ever since I drove to Nevada to buy back my dad's (DTDave) 1977 Yamaha DT400 "brick".....I had the urge to start collecting old DT1's, DT2's, DT400's and RT2's. I literally bought 5 Yamaha enduros in one week not too long ago. I just have a strong passion for these bikes since I am taking the responsibility to fix these myself instead of screwing around with computer chipped bikes that break easily. I guess my pops gave me the Yamaha bug! So therefore, I will keep the ball rolling with this vintage motorcycle hobby!

Too bad I cannot post any pictures of my 9+ bikes I have on here to show....

It’s a nice hobby though.

I share your passion for these bikes, at least it is a healthy addiction!
I have 6 now, a DT1, DT360A, DT400E, R5C, DS7, LS2 and whichever one I rode last ends up being my favorite!
I am going to try to buy a '73 Kaw H1 listed on eBay, not a Yamaha but a very cool 2 stroke!

A,

when motorcycles break down
you’ll wear a frown
because they are expensive to fix

with nine or eleven bikes
a career path 7 years in front of you
after schooling

I sincerely hope you’re able
to deal with discouragement.

clean your carburetor
as Mako says.
clean your carburetor…

now you can’t come here
and tell the group
you’re selling off your collection -
it’s a life long learning path
and boy you’re on that Yellow Brick Road..

grin
