CT 1 left case clutch push rod oil seal question was created by PDXtyist
Hi CT fans.
Our CT1 developed serious oil leak from its left side. It looks like the leak is from the clutch push rod seal.
The culprit was rock hard and had 6.8x22x7 on it. For some reason I can’t find this seal in the parts manual to confirm it’s correct size.
- can anyone confirm the correct seal needed (6.8 seems an odd size) or the Yamaha part no.?
- where in the parts manual is this seal located?
Thanks guys.

By parts number is the best way and it's also ideal to go through a dealer on these seals as I've encountered mislabeled and non oem ones in oem packaging from eBay.
Wile doing it, I'd do the shifter shaft seal and seal behind the sprocket while you are there. I found myself doing all three in quick succession on my ct2, rubber must have been at it's end of life as they all contributed to my slow leaks to some degree.
