WTB RT3 rear turn signals was created by VersysX

1973 RT3 360. I need the rear signals and mounting hardware. I actually have found everything that I need except for one part. I need Yamaha part #256-83316-00-00 flasher collar. This is the metal piece that goes inside the rubber damper. It sits at the base of the signal stalk. I need 2. If you know of a source that would work.

I don't need them but I would like to have signals to keep from being hit by a cage. The bike is a rider. I'm not trying to make a garage queen.

This place in Germany sells kits for the XS - same part, except that you'll to need to drill holes for the locating lug in the indicator (or grind the lug off!).

flasher mounting kit - rear | Lights / Flascher | Yamaha XS 650 Shop

I think that MikesXS in the US sells the same parts individually.

Collar - Turn Signal Mount - Chrome - TX650 - XS650 | Yamaha Motorcycle Parts | Mikes XS

Collar - Turn Signal Mount - Oval - R5 - TX650 - XS650 | Yamaha Motorcycle Parts | Mikes XS

I had stumbled on that. I was hoping to not having to drill the holes. I was also wondering about the holes rusting because there is no chrome plating. Thanks for the info.

I have MIKESXS reproduction mounts on some of my riders. I drilled them. If you grind off the lugs on the signals then they might rotate. No rust, but mine never go out in the rain and live in a climate controlled garage. Also the hole is hidden. And they look like OEM when installed.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

You could also use some touch up paint on the drilled hole to protect against rust?

Or people are selling purported original ones on ebay for as much as $100 each...

I had emailed MIKESXS about the situation and they said that they would look into selling ones with the locating hole. His could then be sold to more people.

You may be possibly overthinking this, buy the MIKESXS parts and drill the locating hole and use some silver touch up paint in the drilled hole for rust prevention, assemble with a small dab of clear silicone in the drilled hole to eliminate moisture intrusion and the modification will probably outlast you, any 50+ year old used ones you find will more than likey have issues as well. Other option is pay ridiculous prices for NOS items, but you mentioned bike is a rider, 99% of the public will never know the difference, in the end it’s your bike to repair in the way that meets your comfort level. The only issue with this is that as soon as you go the MIKESXS route is undoubtedly 2-3 nice sets will pop up for sale, at least that’s how things usually work for me.

I know what you mean. My problem is that I don't have a vice. I haven't figured out a good way to drill the hole.

I would use the existing hole in the bracket to bolt it to a piece of wood to hold it while drilling.
