Do any of our US members know if fleabay, either accidently or deliberately, have stopped allowing motor (inc motorbike) parts to be shipped using their international/global shipping programme? I have read through their rules and can see that there are restrictions but, from this side of the pond, it looks like anything in the "Motors" category is now banned.

Thanks.

I would be interested in knowing a little bit more about what you’re saying because it’s vague. When you say from this side of the pond, I really don’t know which side of the pond you’re speaking about. I don’t know if you’re in the United Kingdom or whether you’re in America? I don’t sell internationally because they have a 30 day unconditional right of refusal and the seller must pay for the return shipping. If the buyer decides for any reason he doesn’t like what was sent to him after making a contractual commitment, furthermore, it takes 30 days to get paid from that particular moment. But again I would be interested if you could copy and paste some of what you’re reading from the website. Cheers.

I've been reading through the ebay selling rules the last few days to learn about selling things there and this was the only thing I could find on International Shipping Restrictions in the "Motors" category:eBay Motors > Airbags, used parts (containing hazardous residue), AC refrigerant, vehicle paint (flammable)

Maybe they are considering anything "used" as hazardous?

Replied by Gr8uncleal on topic Fleabay international shipping from the US.

Thanks for the replies.

UK side of the pond and looking at purchases from the US.

Whilst I admit I haven't checked every single US listing on fleabay, I can't see any in the "motors" category that ship to the UK using fleabay Global/International shipping service. US seller Kellysbikeworld seem to be able to use the service ok, but their parts don't appear to be categorised under "motors" (link to an item chosen at random shown below).

I read the terms as you did, Mark, and couldn't see any reason why most bike parts should be restricted.

I am able to use the service to post worldwide but, as I say, there appears to be an issue with parts from the US.

Try to contact the seller and simply ask him what is his favorite international shipping courier is,  ( you don’t need to mention Global ) and costs associated with doing so? This seller has been around a while and should ease your mind. Ask if there has been any recent eBay regulation changes that might affect the shipping duration? Then ask a simple question about the item itself..

I would have to believe “that not all motorcycle parts are listed under eBay motors specifically?”

You have now covered all of your bases…

cheers mate…
