What are your comments on the "EXTREME" BLACK CHASSIS GLOSS VS BLACK CHASSIS GLOSS?

I have read the extreme is some tough paint. I used it on my seat pan as a test. I thought it came out ok.
I have not, but plan to spray the frame next.

Good that you have tried the "Extreme" flavor-   I have not

This is what Eastwood details with the Extreme
"3 times more resins make it 3X more durable than our original Chassis Black coating. This maximum-durability, 85%-gloss auto chassis paint formula offers improved resistance to brake fluid, fuel, solvent, chips and scratches".

Sounds like it would be almost bullet proof and would be a good choice... I just know the regular Chassis Paint in Black that I used on mine provided Excellent results and the finish looks as good as one of Power Coated frame... so I am good with that.

Per Eastwood- Original Chassis Black Gloss is the perfect coating at the perfect price for any under car component.
  • Resists corrosion, chips and scratches
  • Resists brake fluid, fuel, solvents, UV
  • Matches OEM finish
  • Apply multiple coats without lifting
  • 85% + Gloss Level
If it ain't smokin', it's broken!

Dang.... Your right!

I did not even realize I had bought / used the Extreme on the 71 DT1MX bike...  was not even aware there were two different ones until you mentioned it as I was just focused on the "chassis Paint" detail.

SO.... The Extreme did work very well... I will use the regular Chassis paint on the Mini Enduro's since these bikes will not be daily riders of any sort- to see how it works and if it comes out as good.

With this new discovery-  I would go with the Extreme on any rider bike for sure...  Thanks pabdt

“Tank Stripe... have never done this before and it can be a slight challenge to get the exact line... to many time see folks go to all the time and expense to paint and then there is the stripe staring at you that just kills it!  It has to be perfect”

Oh man ain’t that the truth….. I did OK on the left side and blew it on the right side. It bugs me every time I look at the right side.
