1978 Yamaha DT400E Rear Blinkers was created by Mini Enduro Man

This post is to help others from making my mistake.

If you purchase the K&S rear blinkers for the 1978 Yamaha DT400E or the 1978 DT250 Buy the K&S aftermarket ones that are MFG. # 25-4015
do not buy the 4016.... the installation shaft is too short.

I had that problem too with a set of the overseas repops. I was able to salvage the purchase and use them by using a razor knife to carefully slice off about 1/4" of the rubber base, effectively extending the metal shaft. The side benefit was blinkers that were 1/4" narrower on each side which keeps them that much more out of harms way! Not a bad unintended result!

Thank you Mini Enduro Man.

This post was very helpful in getting the correct rear blinkers for my 1978 DT400.
