turn signals was created by jsmith6752
My right front turn signal has 2 different voltages. It comes on at 6 volts but then drops to 3 volts instead of zero. This causes the light to not go out completely when blinking. It can't be the flasher because the left turn works fine. So, where is the 3 volts coming from? No easy answers for this one I am afraid. I have walked away several times. I am out of ideas. thanks DT360 Yamaha

have you tried swapping bulbs from one side to the other? So both rear turn signals work ok?
can you post a bunch of high res pics for us to look at?

I have switched bulbs. The back turn signal has one bright and one not so bright. I will take some photo tomorrow. Thanks

I think there is another possibility.
The handlebar switch for the turn signal selector may not be making a solid connection internally. The flasher needs load to apply heat to the flasher for it to work.
I wonder what would happen if you reversed the turn signal wires in the bucket. This would theoretically cause the L side to go DIM only and not off. If so, take the switch apart and look at it.
Another way to test this is to directly connect the BROWN/WHITE wire (ie from flasher) direct to the RIGHT TURN SIGNAL wire bypassing the handlebar switch. Of course, you would need the rear turn signal attached also to apply enough resistance to the circuit to heat the flasher.
