Front mudguard was created by Fozzy500

Hi. Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement front mudguard for the CT range which can use the original lower fork mounting please? TIA.

I'm assuming that you can't find an original, or those that are available are too expensive?

As the mounting brackets and mudguards are separate items you could, in theory, mix and match whatever you can lay your hands on, although some fabrication will be needed. Or were you looking for an alternative that bolts straight on?

The bike (CT1C so steel fork legs) came to me with an ugly bit of plastic U-bolted to the bottom yoke so that was binned. An original replacement would be great but yes rare in UK and expensive. I don't need originality for this bike so just looking for an alternative or universal part that could be made to fit and that doesn't look too stupid. Just wondered if anyone had any experience to hand down. Cheers

Yes, sellers are taking the pith on prices and likewise USPS on postal costs.

Doesn’t Harley Davidson still make some steel fenders?

Back in the day when I competed at trials, if the original fender mounts got mangled as I did yet another flying W after " failing to negotiate" a nest of boulders, I used to cut and bend a new bracket from 2mm alloy sheet and drill to fit the forks.

Then rivet something like this to it:
