“Ive found almost all DT360 have failing ignition, the capacitors are simply well beyond their expiry date.
If it isnt bad now it has the potential to leave you stranded, good thing to try to replace even if it doesnt solve your issue”.
Akara1 you are absolutely correct with your statement above. And it convinced me to purchase a DT250 stator and flywheel that was on EBay. They are hard to find so I made an offer of $100 less than his asking price and it was accepted!
I’ve done that changeover from CDI to points style ignition on two of my bikes with excellent results. Now I’m prepared if it happens on my latest 360A.

Got my used 250 flywheel and stator today. They look to be in very good condition. I have boxed them up and stashed them in a cabinet for the day that my 360 CDI craps out….

How did the original poster get on with my thoughts of blocked exhaust causing limiting to 3000rpm. Be good to have an update please if pos. All good.

Hello! Thanks for checking in. I have been traveling for work so my goal is to try this week and will report back in. It's been frustrating but hoping can finally resolve so appreciate all the feedback and pointers.
