Flashers stay on- RT3 360 was created by lefty

Hi everyone,
I bought a RT3 360 recently that has not been ridden for the last 5 years orso.
It runs, but I have a problem with my flashers.
I put in a new battery and al flashers, lights and break light works but the left flashers stay on, if I put them off.
It's very weak but they're on. That's obviously not normal.
Anybody an idea where to look/how this can be fixed.

thanks a lot in advance!

Im no expert on electrical but my guess would be that something is plugged in wrong which is supplying power to them. Does it do this with the bike on or off or both?

Hi, and thanks for you reply! Flashers stay on while bike is running. Not when off, or when the light are off.... I had like 3 wires not plugged in, when dismounting my front light. First I had 3 flashers. After some changes they all work but there's that other problem now. I have a diagram from in service manual but that is also not my cup of tea...

Clean up all connections and terminals, including inside the flashers themselves.

Short circuits like these can be a right bugger to track down - they frequently occur in the rear light as well.

Pay careful attention to the wire colors.  There is "brown" which is battery power with key on and "dark brown" (or "chocolate brown") which is the left turn signal circuit.  Colors fade over the years and it's super easy to mix them up and accidentally connect a battery power brown to the slightly darker left turn brown...  especially in the headlight bucket.

What colors were not plugged in.
Were they 'like' colors you plugged together or plugged separately to other wires of similar color.
