The Southern California Timing Assoc. is having the 2 day season ending event Nov 11-12.
( Weather permitting ) at El Mirage Dry lake bed.
This is always a cool event to putt around the bikes and watch some good racing,

The SCTA is Bonneville style speed runs at EL Mirage Dry lake bed. Well , they split the season and just got back from Bonneville Speed Week Aug 5th-11th.
What's not to like? Cars, Bikes and Streamliners hitting speeds from 100 mph to over 300 mph.
and as long as you are NOT near any camp...your speed limit is unlimited too. ( I had a first time there friend show up and I meet him just as he got on the dry lake bed. He maintained a 25mph, I had to go back 3 times so he wouldn't get lost trying to find our camp. He was wondering why I was riding like a fool til I told him it's legal to drive as fast as you want there. Just not near any camps, then it is 15mph. He bumped it up to 50mph. smh. )
I was doing 80-85mph on my Yamaha.
If you ever watched the movie, " Worlds Fastest Indian " THAT'S SCTA ! ( great movie by the way )

My brother and I went in May when I was out to see him. Was a good time! Wish we had taken his bikes, but none were stickered. That would’ve made an awesome day! 2 74 mr50s zipping around. Plan to make it there again sometime.

Hope you had a good time watching some good time trial racing.
Normally if you show up to those events, they don't even check for green stickers at the gate, only if you do something silly you will get caught. If you ride normal you will be OK.
When I go next I will be taking my minibikes, no stickers.
Most the racers do that too.
AND I am sure the race bikes have no stickers.
 

That’s good to know for the future! Was a good time for sure. Had one thought while we were there. A hall of famer could be right next to me and we wouldn’t know any different. Great machines of all kinds to look at on the line and in the lots for sure!
