I also had pretty good luck with him in the past. That said, periodically over the last couple decades there have been groups of people complaining online about his business.

I would pick up the phone and try to call him. I sent in a modern cylinder for plating when he worked with Millennium Technologies... they sent an email saying it was done, shipping the next day, and I would get a tracking email when it shipped... I never got the tracking of the cylinder. I emailed a couple days later. No response.

So I called about a week later. He answered and said he inspected the new plating and it was bad in a couple spots so he sent it back through. He told me the plating people were backed up but it had just been re-plated and would ship that day. It did. He threw in a Wiseco top end gasket set free which was nice and unexpected.

Even though I could tell he was really busy, he answered and was good on the phone.

This is the worst time of year to get work done, everybody is jammed up. I believe he's in the shop trying to dig his way out. Customer service unfortunately takes up a great deal of time and he doesn't have it.

He's a good dude, he's helped me out over the years. I once had a certain plating shop dick up a cylinder pretty bad. Eric said he could get it sorted out even though he had not been involved up to that point. He said he worked with that shop regularly and could get it handled no charge. He also cut a fancy multi-angle squish band in the head, just for the hell of it. The bike ran great.
