Hi Cliff,

I never heard IZUMI was a location for ART. I did a search and found definite references to a piston manufacturer in Japan named IZUMI... and references that MAHLE, a European company that also manufactures pistons, started collaborating with IZUMI in 1968 and now owns them... IZUMI is now called "MAHLE Japan". Most concise reference here: www.jp.mahle.com/en/mahle-in-japan/

Businesses and relationships can be complex... so I looked at ART. They have a great website with a pretty detailed history... I could not find any reference to IZUMI in their history... however, there are several references to other companies they started or collaborated with in the last 100 years. www.art-piston.co.jp/english/100th

I'd be interested in hearing more about the relationship you mentioned between ART and IZUMI... not everything is documented on the Internet.

Thanks!
