CT3 Carb on CT1 was created by Itandrew

Hello All,

I am going to put a CT3 carb on a CT1B since I cannot find an original CT1 carb.

What jetting should be used or just use the same as standard for the CT3?

Thanks for the feedback.

Should be in the ball park i'd guess with all CT3 jetting as very similar motor except for reed inlet. I see CT3 shows a 200 main against a 190 for the CT1 but i wouldn't worry about that. You'll soon know if too rich as won't rev right out but doubt that'll be the case as pretty close 190-200.

My concern is you'd be a little lean, not rich. Needle and needle jet.

I probably have a few CT1 carbs...  surprised you can't find one.  Used to be dozens on ebay.

Yeah, I didn't know if there would be any difference between having the reeds and just using the port.

There are aftermarket but can't find an OEM.  I won't buy the ones made in China.  I have a Mikuni off a CT3 and off a Hodaka Wombat 94.  I'll play with the jetting and see what works best.

Thank you for the feedback.

Thank you for that offer.

I going to try the CT3 card, if it doesn't work out I may take you up on that.
