Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could please tell me if Yamaha changed the design of the rotor  in 1975 as compared to the 1974 rotor ?
On my 74 the rotor edge has been machined smaller than the rest of the body of the rotor,  i found a used rotor and stator on ebay it is a points ignition like on my 74 and the stator plate has the same number as my 74, FOTO19, but the edge of the rotor doesnt appear to be machined smaller like on my 74 , the seller is stating its from a 75 model unfortunately you cant read FOTO1971 on the face of the sellers rotor because it very rusted , i asked the seller if it had numbers stamped in it , he said no.
like i said his stator looks just like my stator with the same number but his rotor doesnt have the machined edge . I really only need the rotor and the larger coil because the winding was damaged and one of my magnets is shattered from the previous owner,  any thoughts greatly appreciated
