Found another project 1973 RT3! was created by LETSJET

Having just picked up a 1972 CT2 close to home last month, I got lucky again with this titled 1973 RT3! The wife took delivery for me as I’m in sunny Scottsdale today, and Reno is getting tons of weather, she’s well versed in pickup’s and bike deliveries.
This RT3 is my second one and it’s a keeper, I’ve been accumulating RT3 parts for this one as a full restoration is planned. The Baja brown RT3 is one of my all time favorites.

Sounds like the "keeper" is the wife!

I'm looking forward to pictures of it with the NOS gas tank you got.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

This Baja brown RT3 is currently a rider but it will get a full restoration as I've been sourcing parts for a bit. It's more fun to have everything parts wise beforehand. Hopefully it will be a show piece, this one will be a slow build as I'm keeping it. ;) I appreciate survivor bikes but making them better than new is a lot of fun. It's a fairly complete bike as is. Making it new again means it will live another 50 years hopefully.

Will you be selling the tanks then? I have a survivor bike that the PO sealed the tank and not very well. Outside is beautiful though. Oil tank also very nice but has a large shallow dent. Shallow so not as noticeable. If your tanks are better I'm interested. Thanks! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

I am currently res my RT3 as well.
Just painted the frame and it came out better than new.
Forks fully restored to new condition.
Wheels being rebuilt. I can’t wait till it is finished.
