What are routes to take to getting working rebuilt forks. All my candidates have very rusty tubes.

Maybe we should be finding out how to re-chrome the damaged areas. I got it online somewhere but ...

There have been some new tubes available, sources are probably in a thread on here.

If you can find a local shop that rebuilds hydraulic cylinders, and has a source to hard chrome old tubes, that is what you need.

I have a few sets of new fork tubes from this place. I've been pleased although on some of them I've had to do a little finagling.

The local chrome shop I use will not rechrome tubes if the rust and pitting is too deep.
