Here’s a video I took during a vintage race weekend in Pennsylvania last August. I’m on my 71 AT1 with a 175 reed, ported top end, power was never a problem but suspension (or lack of) was. Racing a bike with so little suspension (and no practice) was quite a challenge for me but it was an absolute blast, it was pretty dusty too!. The newer bikes with more suspension definitely had an advantage, they are in a different class so the competition is very fair. You meet the best people at these races!!

I always liked the "Lemans start" where you had to run to your bike and start it. Clutch hand on Helmet was fun too... then they started with the rubber bands and starting gates.

I was a little worried when out of the fog and the dust there appeared the rope high across the track to direct everyone to the left turn. Yeesh. You get going too fast in the fog, and you're going to get clothes-lined!

Riding in the woods reminded me of years back before Bark Busters, had a few busted knuckles, broken levers.
