Tiny bulbs?! was created by Glenn77
Hi guys. I finally figured out why my speedo wasn't lighting up. All of the bulbs except one were blown. DUH! The bulbs are labeled "A6V3W." That appears to be a motorcycle-specific type bulb because I'm having a hard time finding it at the auto and hardware store. Anyone know where to get them?
Also, the oil light bulb was so corroded as to be unrecognizable. Anyone know what it is and where to get it? The service manual doesn't mention anything.
Thanks, guys!
Glenn

Had my 1977 Enduro 100 since 1982. My son just dragged it out of the barn.

Just make sure that there is enough bare metal in the oil light bulb socket to ensure a good connection - I've had mine just dipped into Evaporust for 24 hours to get rid of the worst of the corrosion.

All 4 bulbs are the same according to the parts lists you can find online and are available at your friendly Yamaha dealer... online or local.
Eiko is also a popular brand if you look on Amazon or ebay... there is a version with a larger glass globe that won't fit in the hole so be careful there.
What you're seeing is common on a bike without a voltage regulator and say a good battery... a little imbalance and lights start to blow. Would be a good idea to add a voltage regulator since 6v bulbs are harder to find (and more expensive!) than they used to be.
