NEW ACQUISITION was created by dirttrackstar

Hey all, Just picked up this very nice DT1 from the family of the original owner - has the original sales receipt, owners manual, first registration documents, original toolkit still in the pouch, seat strap and is still on the original [but cracked] tyres.
Its in amazing condition and will only require a cleanup and a new consumables [cables etc] and a tune up as its short on sparks at the moment. Front fender is buckled but still may be saveable, if not I know where there is a NOS one still in the box if necessary. [attachment=41567]IMG_6146.JPG
Ive searched far and wide for one this good, so she's a keeper.

Nice bike! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? I'm still trying to get a general idea of how much people normally buy/sell them for, I've been going after a few myself for a couple months now but I only pulled the trigger on one cause I thought the others cost too much.

When it comes to vintage motorcycles, the “rule of thumb” on the value is it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Yes, some do sell for “stupid” money and a few, rare models or ones that have been professionally restored, are worth that money. Unfortunately this gives Cooter the idea that those half dozen old dirt bikes leaning against the back of his house are worth a small fortune.
