Mystery bike was created by kingjoel

Hi guys, I just bought this Enduro (was told it's a 125) over the phone. What does it look like to you? By looking at the oil tank it looks almost like a 1970 175 to me.

It's possible you have a 1970 CT175....at least it that is the original oil tank. Be sure and research that VIN when you get it.

.

Some other quick things to look for . . .

~ The 175 had a tach redline of 8,000 . . . the 125 redline started at 8,500

~ Lower left "base" of cylinder will have the cc's cast into it . . . but I can already tell from the cylinder head fins, oil tank, magneto, and the front fender mounting stays, that it's a CT1 / 175

~ Serial number with prefix 248 would be a 125, and the 251 prefix indicates a 175

~ Stock rim and tire sizes are bigger on the 175, (but tires wear out and often changed to something different then stock sizes)
A. The 125 front rim is 1.40 x18 with a 3.00 x 18 tire ... rear is 1.60 x 18 rim and 3.25 x 18 tire
B. The 175 front rim is 1.60 x18 with a 3.25 x 18 tire ... rear is 1.85 x 18 rim and 3.50 x 18 tire

~ AT1 headlight is a smaller diameter with YHA-111 stamped into lower right of bucket . . . CT1 will have a YHA-107 stamping

Congratulations, on your larger then advertised .... CT1 model .... Fun bike! :likey

Thank you sir! You helped me with an O-ring on my RT3 last year in Walmart parking lot. It's going strong and getting looks. This little CT1b (I picked up today) is more complete than I expected. A dog food sack of parts came with it.
