Appreciate the replies. I think the heating with a torch may be the best option. Will follow up if it works.

Just wondering if you ever got the armature core off? I am working on a Twin Jet right now, and found the same thing. I would like to replace the main seal, but I don't want to ruin the armature or the crank. Thanks Rod

Unless he has started back, swarfrat quit making his tools a few years ago.

I just ordered one for my Yamaha YL1 twin jet, maybe it's a leftover, but the order was accepted.

RT, you figured it out way back when. Gotta say, sometimes it's hard for me to follow what you're saying, but it's worth the effort. Y ou know some stuff.

The order was canceled, so I guess he is not making these anymore.
Is there anybody that has one of the Yamaha special tool -Armature puller # 90890-01034 With standard 3/8" thread? If so I would like the dimensions of the solid
pin and overall length, so I can get one built. Thanks Rod
