WHEELS FROM YAMAHA UNION CYCLE?? was created by teamster6
I decided to replace the wheels on this ltmx Im restoreing. I sent them to Woodys wheel but they claimed they could not straighten them completely. Was able to order the correct wheels that showed same size from yamaha part numbers from a 1974 dt100 believe it or not same size and spokes.
To my surprise they are union cycle rims direct from yamaha!! They even have the yamaha part stickers on them.
Dont know if these are decent or not but they are going on.

here ya go I thought they would be takasagos what a surprise!
called partzilla asking them what in the world?? They claimed yamaha must be having their wheels made by the union cycle company. genuine yamaha parts I am guessing these are made in china or the philipines.

Hi All,
I also got a set of Union cycle rim's for a 75 RD350 I am restoring. Question, did you have any problems with the angle of the spoke nipples in lacing them up? The hole diameter in new rims is 6.43mm in the old stock rim it is 7.10mm. I am using new SS spokes from Buchanan's.
The old rims laced up no problem but I could not true them so I went with new rims.
Thanks
Paul
PS. I also have a 74 DT100 in great shape , fun bike at swap meets!
