Hello to all!
I am pleased to find a reasonable 1972 DT 2.
This model was my very first motorcycle which my dad brought home from a co-worker's son when I was 15. That was in 1973.
The bike was stripped for dirt, no tail light or turn signals, no oil pump either. It had 100 psi compression, so I pulled the cylinder and it has a .50 over piston already. 
I will investigate finding a piston kit and have the cylinder bored/honed at my favorite powersports machine shop.
The bike has good tins, wiring in reasonable shape, nice chrome on rims, fork tubes and rear shocks. 
I'm off to the motorcycle scrap yard one of these days to scrounge missing/worn out parts!
I will be asking advice from you all!
I'm in Ontario Canada and can see the snowmobile trail from my deck! ATV's and bike use them daily!
I hope to be trail riding it soon!
