AT1 project...Southern California was created by hammerandtongs

Hi All,
Just found the forum after buying myself a 1971 AT1 as a 52nd birthday present last weekend. It needs a lot of work but I am excited for the restoration challenge. Currently have the engine out and on the bench, with the aim of a full tear down...I may soon have questions for you haha. Very happy to be here and hopefully learn from the collective wisdom and information on the site.
Cheers, Dan.

Greetings neighbor! and welcome. I am in West Covina. You have come to the right place for help and information for your AT1. I had a 1969 AT1 that I pulled out of the Santa Ana river on the July 4th weekend in 1979 in Huntington Beach. I called it the Barnacle Bike because it had barnacles and crusty sea creatures stuck to it.
Got it to run with help from my Dad and brother. I rode that thing everywhere through my high school years. I may have a pic somewhere at my moms house.
Anyways welcome!
