Who am I?
I am an old fart who is going through mid life for sure!Seems these days all I can think of was the good ole days and ways to get some of that fun I had growing up back.
AMA Professional Moto-X Rider since 1978 (went Pro at age 12)
Florida State and SEC NML TT Scrambles Champion 1979-1982
AMA SuperX Nationals Champion At Gatorback Fl. 1980
IROC AMA Schoolboy Finalist 1980 105cc super-modified.
AMA-IROC AstroDome MotoX Finalist 1981
It's funny today you can walk right past someone and they won't even look at you, much less say "Hi"
Maybe it's just me or maybe it was just the motorcycle crowd I grew up with are a much more outgoing bunch. We are far more social whether its on the street or on the trail we never pass without the low wave or more likely grouping up and meeting back at camp to hoist a few. So after being away from riding for over 25 years I'm back to stay.
I saw an old IT465 that had been sitting in a field for as long as I had been away and something just snapped inside.I felt such a terrible sadness at it sorry sight and knew I was kina looking at myself,so I set out for the long restoration of more than just some rusty iron in the weeds.

I am a 56 year old lifelong devotee of Yamaha enduros. My bikes included an LT2 100, a '75 DT 250, a CT3175, and a '78 DT 400. My current bikes are a DT2 250 and a CT3 175. I've had the 250 for 10 years and just recently snagged the 175. Both are largely original and run well. I'm working on rust removal from the CT tank. I hope to get a 360 at some point. Even though I had a 400, there's still something about those '71-'73 RT's that I always loved.

I completed a motorcycle riding course this summer and recently bought my first motorcycle, a 1973 100cc Yamaha LT2 endure. I am looking forward to participating in this forum and becoming a more knowledgable and skillful rider

My name is Bill and have been buying old basket cases for the last 10 years or so, lately I have been into the midsized honda cb type bikes but they seem to be getting harder to find.
I just bought a very crusty ct1 to fix up after I finish the cb360 ..
The ct1 is a 1971 and needs just about everything
