I want to purchase a new carb cap for my mikuni carb. I want to go with a treaded cap on the top. How do I decide which one to get? There is a lot of different ones out there. thanks

Are you still struggling with throttle cable elbow?
When you mean "threaded on top" are you talking about the hole the cable goes through?
The caps are fairly universal for each body size... what is the OD of the threads the carb top screws onto? I will check to see if I have an original elbow for the stock cap or a cap with threads for the throttle cable fitting instead of the hole the stock cap has.

I will check tomorrow. The cable has been back to HVC trice already. They had me send in the whole cable with the hand throttle and carb. For some reason the lower cable has a fitting that can come apart. When the bike turns left or right the cable pops apart. There is no reason to have that fitting at all. I ordered a new fitting that threads into the top of the carb. That's why I need a new cap that is threaded. I will try to send some pics thanks

my mikuni carb is dripping gas out of the small fitting directly on the bottom of the bowl. Any thoughts ? On the bright side it now runs.

JSmith, you might want to consider learning to post pics. What are the numbers on the choke boss? Its on the boss where the choke plunger is.
1. The elbow has an "E" clip on the inside of the cap to allow it to rotate 360 degrees.
2. The elbow has threads only on cable side. I just installed an HVCycle cable on mine.
