Pictures (posted to imgur or someplace and linked here) are probably going to be be needed. Do you have points or CDI? Original ignition or something aftermarket?
Not common to see red/white or red/black coming out of the magneto or anywhere on the bike on any road legal Yamaha Enduro I'm familiar with. Those colors just aren't used on road-going magneto bikes and Yamaha is pretty consistent with their colors even in different countries,
Or maybe someone has or can find a 1G1 wiring diagram.

If red/black is actualy black/red & same with the red/white--white/red they both go to the cdi box.
B/R being source & other being trigger coil. That's generaly speaking with yamaha stuff.
In saying 'that' now i look at "76 on Partzilla it shows a points mag so "Back in the corner for me", don't want to steer you down the wrong path.

No mention of CDI in any of the 76 and 77 1G1 literature I could find.. Ebay UK has a new 1G1 wiring harness for sale and there is no sign of a red//black or red/white in the harness.... so not sure what you have. If it was original, normally there would be matching wires in the harness with no question.
(Or black/red and white/red for that matter... normal naming convention is that the stripe on the wire is the color listed after the "/".)
I can't think of any Yamaha 175 Factory CDI that uses those colors... white/red? Yes. But that's it.
And I think the early IT models might have had a black/red for the lighting coil wire. There was also a black/red used on the monoshock DT175 for the oil level sensor but a 1G1 is a twin shock and as far as I know did not have an oil level sensor.
This does not mean what you have isn't original or correct for your model.. If you can't/won't upload pictures to any imgur or other hosting sites... or a video to YouTube or Vimeo... and post a link here, nobody else can see what you have and you'll probably be on your own solving the mystery.

With rare exception, critical Yamaha wires for things like ignitions are color coded so that like connects to like. And in the rare exceptions I've seen, there is a plug and socket that insures correct connection. No guessing.
Pretty much all manufacturers follow that protocol, why would they color code wires only to have someone have to guess which different colors belong together?
Sounds like you're dealing with someone's modifications... but only you can see what you're working on.

RT325, thanks for the kind words. Even before this thread was started I've suspected the reality is this bike probably doesn't even exist and the posts are made up.
Perhaps Spow will prove me wrong and post links to photos or video of the bike, the ignition, and the wires he has questions about... but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The bike does exist and the posts are not made up .I have the bike started. Thanks to the replys I had about the carburetor. I still have two wires that I don't know where they go.i have not got a wire going from the flywheel generator to the rectifier, so is it possible to do a voltage test on the wires.
