Question. OEM motor case, was it painted a silver color or was it polished like the side covers. also top of head looks to be black. anyone have any pretty engine pics you want to share? would love to see them. 1974 and 1975 DT175 restorations. Thanks much Jarrod

If you mean crankcase, they were unfinished.

Many of the earlier models definitely had the center cases painted silver.  I'm not sure on the 74-75 but I have a couple of old engines around here someplace and will check to see if it looks like they were painted.
