1975 DT175 Crank O Ring part 93210-180A6-00 was created by jeffjeffjeff

When taking the right side crank parts out, there was not an o ring and this motorcycle was never disassembled. I know Partzilla is sometimes wrong with it's diagrams. Is this o ring placement correct? I don't have it ordered yet but it just seems like it would get sandwiched between the collar and the bearing when tightened which doesn't make sense because it would get smooshed. Or perhaps it stretches on the outside of the collar which would not seem to provide any function then.

Photos don't seem to be uploading. Hopefully this link works:

Thanks,
Jeff

Fits in the groove Jeff as shown in the ebay crank number here. Does yours not have a groove. Spacer just pushes over it with tension--in theory anyway.

O ring fits into a groove in the crank, and the primary gear sleeve slides on over it. CSMNL is the best place for parts diagrams.

Of course. Didn't see that. Makes perfect sense now. Thanks!

My CT1B had me thinking something was wrong because the sleeve didn’t want to go over the Oring, but it simply took more force than I expected.

You should not need any force to fit the sleeve if the correct oring has been supplied. Many sell orings which are not correct (too big), which will be damaged, when the sleeve is forced on.

Mr. Schu, can that sleeve be flipped over 180 degrees?

It's long since been assembled. Like I said, it just took more force than I assumed it would. And maybe I did get an oring that was oversized. But I've been rolling for a long time since this happened, so life is good.
