Yes, going leaner did concern me hence worrying about head temp which seems to be well within acceptable limits.
If I get a chance I will post up a picture of the plug, and weather permitting might try and do a Go Pro video of a short ride as well.

I run mine on the rich side bottom end to remove the over run issue. when cold its all burbly and slight 4 stroking till it warms up, a couple of miles then it runs smooth, no hesitation right through the rev range, and very clean, chocolate brown plug. and pulls like a train right up to 80+
no over run at all or bucking/surging.
airscrew is about 3/4 out, standard jeting and needle as per book setting
I went to a bigger front sprocket to load up the bottom end at 1/8" throttle were it wants to go but your trying to hold it back, this worked and will ride and hold at 30 mph in top gear

Gary - very similar to mine, I also fitted the larger front sprocket, it is very happy at 30, useful iin speed limit zones.
I also have the burbling / blubbering when cold which I hate but dont think you can do much about it, but I can live with that.
The only difference in my setup is the needle clip position - middle instead of fourth. With it in position 4 you get a bit of 4 stroking / missing in the mid range when accelerating and or cruising.

Took it out for a bit more shaking down this afternoon - made a quick video, pity about the smear on the camera, anyway, here it is.

Fantastic. Thanks for sharing. It sounds/goes great. Somerset? What was going on with all those caravans? I need a go-pro…

Yep, Somerset, to be more precise near Glastonbury, famous for it's music festival.

The caravans are in fact "travellers", these are people that just turn up and decide to park and live on the side of the road - generally they have no respect for the law or anyone, park where they want / do what they want, and leave an almighty mess when they eventually leave, leaving us ratepayers with the cleanup costs, cops do absolutley nothing about them - rant over !

Glad that you enjoyed the video.

You’ve got a good one there. Love the quaint narrow roads, cottage style buildings and lush greenery. Driving on the wrong side of the road freaked me out a little!

Likewise when I watch footage of people driving on the "wrong" side of the road also freaks me out.
I went over to Belgium / France a few years back and I found driving on the other side of the road really difficult, even though I only made one cock up.

Andy, we here in the states can't be driving on the "wrong" side of the road since as the word says we drive on the "right" side of the road
