When you said "pump feed fitting" I took that to mean the inlet fitting (hose from oil tank that feeds the pump).

Outlet fitting (smaller hose) is the one with the check valve underneath.  Probably just my misunderstanding of your wording.  I've been lucky with a gentle twist and pull.  I mark pump body with direction of fitting outlet so I can aim it the same way.  I always worry press fit will loosen up so I'm careful to minimize movement.  And I don't grab or pry on the tiny hose outlet part.  Generally they come out easy.

It looks like RT325 is correct and those bolts are more robust...  I still probably wouldn't torque them.  Snug has always worked for me.  It's also possible torque wrench is not accurate at 5 if it is a click type?  Probably lowest setting?  I had trouble with that.  Double checked with a beam type and my Snap On clicker type was not consistent at low settings.  At higher settings it was perfect.  Snap On told me best not to use a clicker type wrench in the lower 20% of scale...  So I use my in-lb wrench for smaller torques.

Oil pump, thought we were talking clutch. Reminds me i do have an inch lb's torque wrench that's not had any use since when i worked & refiting cam caps on 4 cylinder bikes after fixing something.
Oil pump, pity they went away from the screw in fitting. Must cheaper to produce the current way i guess. Be interesting to see if any fluff caught in the fine spring.

RT325
yes it was with some side issues
originally it was a smokey start that cleared and diagnosed as oul pump
i had the clutch side off to replace a weeping gasket and originally thought the smoke wad my crank seal, as the side was off and I had the seal, i decided to replace anyway, had issues getting the seal retainer screws out as all chewed.

i then put it back together and snapped a clutch basket bolt, it went with very little torque so I think this 1 was flawed as the others were fine.
i got the bilt thread out of the basket and I am currently waiting for a set of new ones from yamaha of which are only the hex head no cross resess (they have been superseded)
so while ai wait I have been reaserching the original problem and thanks to sll the help on here and a few you tube vids t looks like I need to pull the ali press fit nipple. Im not too happy doing this in case of future leaks on the part and the chance I may snap it in the pump body.

so I have decided to leave it alone for now and get a service kiy for the pump then tackle the oroblem from the internal side of the pump rather than put myself in another situation
cheers
Gary

Only way to get to check valve in pump is pull the outlet fitting.

All good thanks. 6mm bolts are plentiful if you can't get original & should be available in reasonable tensile strength. Any i buy from a hardware store have 8.8 stamped on the end & seems ok.
That oil pump fitting should come out with a left-right & out & should go in tight enought & no real pressure to worry about. Oh, & as Mark says above. If you get a kit you'll still need to remove that fitting to clean the spring of 'stuff'.
