I have had luck with Muggy Weld's very low temp aluminum /pot metal solder. Not sure what that cap lock is made of but the plating on it may effect any solder repair attempt. Look up Muggy Weld. Not cheap stuff but it works for me on pot metal car parts.

Devcon or what the other epoxy was mentioned.
Here's an Idea, glue it back together then screw/glue it to the tank.

I would also be interested in buying this part, if somebody has one for sale. This is for a 74 dt250 I bought for a parts bike for my 360, I am thinking about trying to get it running.

The first thing I thought of was the weird Alumaloy commercials from about 20 years ago. Never tried the stuff but the commercial will lull you to sleep.

Buggin that is interesting, very similar to mark350. I had hoped somebody had luck with an epoxy repair. If I decide to try either I will report back.
Thanks
