Hey Steve. I just got a RT2 360 and was thinking about doing a rebuild. Do you have any advice or links to rebuild guides in the forum? From what I can tell the bike currently needs a oil reservoir ( I believe the previous owner premixed) and new battery. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Probably should see if the oil pump is still there, too, if the oil tank is missing...

That left side case looks like someone has been doing a bit of repair work at the rear maybe? Soda does give a nice soft finish, but don't you need to wash it after? I still see seals & bits.

As to a thread for a rebuild, not sure on this "new" site. I believe there was. I'll look around and see if I can find one. Did you try a search? If there isn't, start your own and others will pitch in I'm sure! :Buds

We think the chain popped off and the previous owner did some "repair." That was at least 15 years ago if not more.

All right - my friend Hondarider has the engine back together and cranked it for the first time tonight. Looking good! I'm going to start another thread with the video and pictures. It needs a good carburetor kit and a brake cable, and it hopefully will be hitting the trails soon.

Use the kits for seals and gaskets only. If you need brassware, buy original Mikuni.
