Airbox Grommet

The pin on the air box is shown, but no grommet or sleeve... Another thought just came to me... I think the monoshock bikes had a "one sided" grommet on the air box mount... might be the same on the later twin shock?

Yamaha tends to keep the same design for many models and years on stuff like this....

Let me look at a couple bikes later today... it might be a grommet after all.

The same part number you posted except it’s different :)

I have no clue why they would omit the grommet in parts breakdown, I still think I’m just missing something that’s right in front of my face. I would just use something in its place but this one is a full restore and would rather use factory components.

^^^ I'm not sure what you mean.

I've only posted one part number and it's for the "one-sided" grommet used on the later models.

Maybe DEET will answer or you could try sending him an email.

Okay... got it. I get confused easily. :Ugh

Prefix is the same but the 5 digit prefix number means it's a "generic part category" that fits many models... the second 5 identifies the exact grommet.... they are definitely different parts.
