1976 DT175 Headlight wiring question

If you just want a headlight, leave it AC. Would be a good idea to install a regulator though as the 1976 came with one and had a higher output stator because they didn't have to worry about keeping the system as "balanced" as the earlier models.

Use a Yamaha hi-lo switch as it doesn't break contact completely when switching beams which could also blow the bulb. (Thanks to DEET for this info)

Yellow wire from stator will run the headlight.
