Hi, thanks for letting me in. I have a 74 dt400, i will put on road tomorrow. I was looking to change to 12v. Its 6v now.

There are a couple of 12 volt pathways - search the forum, or someone will likely chime in!

Welcome! from the UK.

Just in case it makes a difference, for example when ordering parts, what you probably have is a 1975 DT400 (frame says date of manufacture 1974?). The 1974 model was the DT360A, 1975 was DT400B, 1976 DT400C etc. You can check out your frame /VIN number against the tables in the forum's Tech Library.
