I'm looking to convert my 76 DT400 to 12v, I know Rex makes a kit but have also just ran across the kit in the link below and am wondering if anyone here has used it and how they like it. Thanks!

It may be worth your time to purchase direct, as even with shipping it should be less expensive. These are very good systems - several members have them and swear by them.

I have the Rex's speed shop ignition and 12v upgrade on mine, that is pretty good, but Ive nothing to compare with.

Thanks for the reply 750kr1, I was looking at Rex's and like their price better but recently read from one of our members whom had some problems with it and wasn't having a lot of luck getting Rex to respond.

All I can say, is from my own experience, I had a small problem which Marcus tried to help me out with, I ended up sending the whole system back which they diagnosed fixed the problem and was back with me within a week.

Thanks, did you get the kit that comes with everything (except battery)? I don't like to judge someone on just one persons experience since I don't know all the variables. I have bought from Rex before so I know they are decent people but I'm just concerned because I'm not great with electrical, mechanical I can deal with, so if something isn't right I just want to know that they are going to be there to assist.

Yep it appears as vape ignition if you buy it from the site sign up to be a free member you'll save 30 or 40 dollars for this int fee I think that's what I remember but yeah if your getting it tell me how it is I might get it for my bike in the future so I can get better lighting

I'm tired of putting money in buying lights only to have them blow out, even after replacing rectifier and voltage regulator. Enough is enough with the old 6v system! I'm leaning towards Rex's but only due to price, it appears it's about half of what VAPE is. If VAPE's system is so much better I don't mind spending the extra cash but I've not heard from anyone running the system... If any of that make sense :-)
