DT175MX and DT250 seat compatibility was created by simonhh

Hello all, does anyone know if the seats for the 175 and 250 models are interchangeable?

You do not say what year and model.  However I do know that the 78 on DTMX seats are not compatible.  They have a completely different shape.

Thanks for your reply. I am restoring a 1979 DT250F and it is missing a seat. The DT175 seats seem to be more available as are the TT250. I was wondering if I could source an alternative.

Thanks again for your reply

I also know the frame at the rear of tank is wider on the 250 with different tank mounts.

Thanks again for your help. I guess I will just have to keep looking for a 250 or 400 type. Much appreciated

Not sure what part of the world you're in, but worth checking out fleabay in the various European countries (eg France and Germany) and, if you find what you're after, ask if they'll post to where you are.

Also, if you have friends or relatives in France who can buy and forward parts to you, then check out leboncoin website.

I'm in UK, so I will look at the EU auctions. Hopefully I will be able to find something.
